Alpha Course
Fall and Winter
Alpha is the place to ask questions about the Christian faith, to explore faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over 11 thought-provoking weekly sessions. Come for dinner, teaching and discussion. Click here to see our Facebook page.

Dynamis
Many will find this a helpful follow-up to Alpha. Others will be challenged and inspired to consider what it means to live more fully for Christ.

"The Dynamis Course explores a lifestyle empowered by the Spirit. God gives us the ability to walk faithfully and fruitfully and fulfill God's will and ways in our journey of faith." - Dynamis website www.dynamiscourse.com

Dynamis is a great way to experience community and friendship through a shared meal and group discussion. Participants will be encouraged to live deeper lives of faith, refreshed and empowered through the Holy Spirit.

Christian Formation and Direction
Meet one-on-one with a spiritual director, join a certification program, or take in a retreat. Christian Formation and Direction Ministries (Pacific Northwest) seeks to encourage spiritual formation focusing on practices, disciplines, and ways of being that enable us to hear, see and respond to God's invitation to a deeper relationship with Him. Learn more via their website.

College Ministry
6:30 pm Sundays at 7 Howe
College aged people meet weekly in small groups and monthly for events (fondue night, sugar coma night, Winter Retreat, game nights, etc). A Bethany van shuttle picks up students at the loop at SPU for Sunday Worship by 10:35 am. The college staff and volunteers love meeting students for coffee, meals, talking about life, God, and making a difference in the world. Contact Todd Holdridge, toddh@bethanypc.org, for more information.

Young Adults
7:00 pm on the first Friday of the month
Singles, marrieds, young adults in their twenties and early thirties gather monthly to get to know each other, find out more about the church, home groups (small groups), to find out about areas of ministry/service at Bethany or in the community. For more information, or to meet Pastor Todd for coffee, email: toddh@bethanypc.org.

Bethany Singles (30s-50s)
Single adults between the ages of 30 and 50 gather for occasional fun events together throughout the year. On Sunday, October 4 at 7 pm, the Singles group will be going bowling at the GARAGE.

Small Groups

Women's Ministries
Women meet in a variety of ways at Bethany, from small groups to participation in local and community Bible Studies including: Bible Study Fellowship, Community Bible Fellowship, and Evangelical Free Church's women's group in Ballard.

M.O.P.S. is a program that supports mothers of preschoolers and is offered at University Presbyterian and Westside Chapel in Ballard.

All Bethany women are invited to join an evening of dessert and discussion on Friday, September 18, at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will be watching a Rob Bell video entitled, "She," which raises the question of what it means to be made in the image of God - specifically as women.

Women's Bible Study
1st & 3rd Tuesdays beginning October 6, 9:30 am or 7:00 pm in the Parlor
The Bethany Women's Bible Study group will start a new series on 1 and 2 Corinthians: Living Together in Community, on October 6. The group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month in the Parlor. Our morning group meets from 9:30-11:00 am, and our evening group from 7:00-8:30 pm. Childcare is available only for the morning session.
